BBQ sauce chicken wings

If you’re stuck indoors, here’s an easy recipe to make the lockdown all that more pleasant. Here is how we made these tasty crispy saucy wings right in the kitchen.

Hopefully sometime soon we’ll be free again to socialize and to cook delicious wings for groups of friends and family. Until then you’ll just have to eat them all yourself.

WHAT OTHER WAYS CAN YOU ENJOY THIS SAUCE?

As you can see in the video we have created a great BBQ sauce with Judge Casey’s Famously Thick Ketchup that goes so well with chicken wings, but it can also be used on any of your favorite proteins, pork, beef or soy.

Total Time 35 mins

Serves 2 hungry people stuck in quarantine, Or a bunch of friends at a party not so far in the future.

Makes Approximately 24 wings

Ingredients

Rub

3 teaspoons Salt

½ teaspoon Sugar

1 ½ tablespoons Paprika

BBQ sauce

1/3 bottle Judge Casey’s Famously Thick Ketchup (about ½ cup)

1 Tablespoon Soy sauce

1 Tablespoon Sambal Oelek (or Sriracha / Chili paste)

1 Tablespoon Toasted sesame oil

1 Tablespoon Olive oil

½ teaspoon Colman’s Mustard (or hot mustard of your choice)

2 tablespoons Honey.

Instructions

STEP 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

STEP 2
Place the oven safe grill pan in the oven.

STEP 3
Season chicken wings with rub (salt, sugar and paprika).

STEP 4
In a bowl add the ingredients of the BBQ sauce and mix.

STEP 5
Carefully remove the pan from the oven and place on the stovetop or other heat resistant surface. Add wings to the ripping hot pan.

STEP 6
Cook on both sides until about 85% done. Add a drizzle of sesame oil. Depending on size cook time will vary, about 10-15 minutes.

STEP 7
Transfer the wings to the bowl and toss with Judge Casey’s BBQ Sauce.

STEP 8
Place back in the hot oven to finish the wings. Cook until cooked through, about 5 minutes.
